Elderly woman facing eviction has new home

An elderly woman in Colorado Springs facing eviction has a new home, thanks to the kindness of strangers.

Annabelle, 72, asked us not to use her last name. She was at risk of being evicted from the Cedar Creek Club apartments because of problems she had with the landlord regarding bugs.

On Monday, she moved into a new apartment in Colorado Springs. An investment advisor saw the story KRDO NEWSCHANNEL 13 aired about Annabelle being evicted. He was able to help her get into a new apartment.

“I think it’ll be a much better environment for her,” Paul Howard said. “The owners are doing a very good job.”

Annabelle said she’s thankful for everyone’s help.

“I think they’re all wonderful,” she said. “Everybody, believe me, has been very nice. And I appreciate it very much.”
