Recalled apples may be tainted with listeria

Apples that were sold at some Colorado grocery stores are being recalled because of possible listeria contamination.

Bidart Brothers Apples are sold under multiple brand names, including “Big B” and Granny’s Best.”

The recalled Gala and Granny Smith apples were sold at Safeway and Walmart stores in Colorado.

The listeria was first found in prepackaged caramel apples, but the F-D-A thinks other products may be tainted.
