Nine pit bulls seized from apartment complex
Colorado Springs Police say nine pit bulls were removed from a trash filled apartment in the 4900 block of El Camino Drive.
Police were called to the New Horizon Apartments at 11 a.m. on January 9, 2015. The police department says the officers were called to address squatters in several vacant apartments.
Police say that an officer found nine pit bulls in one of the apartments. The apartment was filled with trash, according to officers.
HAZMAT was called because the apartment was filthy and smelled of urine.
David Mack was arrested. Police did not say what charges he may face.
