Colorado Springs man accused of sexual exploitation of a child

A Colorado Springs man is facing charges of sexual exploitation of a child for the possession and distribution of child pornography.

Calbert Taylor, Jr., 56, was arrested on October 8, 2014.

Police say a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) prompted the investigation.

In September, the NCMEC contacted Colorado Springs Police about someone sending child pornography through a Gmail account.

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit began investigating.

A search warrant was executed on the morning of October 8. Taylor was arrested following the raid. Police said they recovered numerous articles of child pornography during the search.
