Black bear illegally killed in Canon City

Wildlife officials are investigating after a black bear was illegally killed in Canon City.

Zach Holder, a district manager for Colorado Parks and Wildlife, says the 200-pound female bear was shot multiple times with arrows near the entrance of Dawson Ranch earlier this month.

The Canon City Daily Record reports a $2,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to a citation or an arrest in the case.
