Pueblo West marijuana dispensary robbed

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office says a Texas man was arrested following a robbery at a marijuana dispensary in Pueblo West.

The robbery was reported just before 7 a.m. It happened at the Cannasseur Marijuana Dispensary on N. Precision Dr.

The person who called 9-1-1 told the dispatcher that a man had just forced an employee into the business at gunpoint and that other employees were believed to be inside the building.

The sheriff’s office says the robber bound the hands of employees, ripped the phones from the wall and took a large amount of marijuana/THC products.

The SWAT team was called in and deputies surrounded the building. When the robber ran from the store, he was forced to the ground at gunpoint and arrested.

Deputies say David Lopez, 40, was armed with a fully loaded 9mm Glock pistol and that they believe he had a getaway vehicle parked nearby.

Investigators say Lopez had the stolen items on him when he was arrested.

Lopez is facing numerous charges, including false imprisonment, kidnapping, aggravated robbery and menacing.
