Police use gas to flush fugitive out of Pueblo home

Pueblo Police say they were forced to use gas to get a fugitive out of a home after he refused to come out.

Officers went to the 1300 block of E. 3rd Street at around 10 p.m. on July 8, 2014 after receiving a tip that a wanted man was in the area.

Officers began searching for Angel Pena, 24, and soon spotted him running into one of the homes in the neighborhood.

Police say Pena barricaded himself inside the house and refused to come out.

The S.W.A.T. team was called and after negotiations failed, gas was used to flush Pena out.

Pena was arrested without incident and is facing a charge of aggravated robbery. He was also wanted by the Department of Corrections for a parole violation.

Police say Pena may be linked to other crimes as well, but those cases are still under investigation.
