CSPD investigates shots fired inside apartment building

Colorado Springs Police were called to an apartment complex early Sunday morning (6/22/14) after someone fired shots inside.

Police got reports of shots fired inside one of the buildings at the El Vecino apartments on Monterey Rd. around 12 a.m.

A man told police he was walking to the building from the parking lot when he was confronted by another man. The suspect pulled out a gun and followed the victim into the building. Police say once inside, the suspect fired two rounds and then ran away.

Police searched areas around the apartment complex, but did not find the suspect. They found one apartment with damage to it, caused by one of the bullets fired.

No one was injured during the incident.
