Prison escapee found

Police officers in Wheat Ridge found an escaped prisoner Friday afternoon.

7News in Denver reports the prisoner was being transported from Las Vegas to Illinois when he escaped. Wheat Ridge police confirm he escaped in Wheat Ridge, but had no further details available on the search.

7News also reports the inmate’s name is Turhan Robinson, who was arrested for an alleged drug-related robbery in Las Vegas and is wanted for a shooting death in Illinois.
