Pueblo police investigate attempted kidnapping

Pueblo police are investigating an attempted kidnapping that happened Wednesday (6/18) morning.

Police were called to East 8th Street near Monument around 11 a.m.

A 15 year old girl told police she was approached by a red SUV with a tan bumper. She says the driver told her he knew her mother and to get in the vehicle for a ride.

She told him no and she says he got angry and started yelling at her to “get in.”

Police searched the area but did not find the vehicle.

The driver is described as a heavy set white male and police say he has been seen in the area before.
