Police identify weekend shooting victim as teenager

Colorado Springs Police have released the name of a 17-year-old who was shot to death on the southeast side early Saturday (5/17/14).

Che Orozco’s death has been ruled the 11th homicide of 2014 in Colorado Springs.

Police got a call around 2 a.m. Saturday about a large fight and shooting near the interesection of Pikes Peak Ave. and Chelton Rd.

Police were told a shooting victim was taken to the area of Fountain Blvd. and Chelton Rd. When police arrived at the 7-Eleven there, they found Orozco’s body.
