Missing hiker found dead in Jefferson County
Jefferson County authorities say the body of a 21-year-old hiker has been found close to his home near Bailey.
The hiker, Nicholas Coats, went on a short hike at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and had not been seen since.
Coats did not leave a note as to when he would be returning. He also did not tell anyone his destination.
Authorities said Thursday the death is under investigation.
