CSFD investigates third fire at apartment complex

The Colorado Springs Fire Department is investigating an overnight fire at an apartment complex.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday (4/26/14) at the Sunset Creek Apartments on N. Nevada Ave.

Residents say it’s the third fire in about two weeks. The last fire happened early Tuesday morning.

Fire officials say Saturday’s fire started on the third floor. When firefighters arrived, they say the fire was already extinguished.

Everyone inside the building was able to evacuate safely. One person was treated on scene for minor medical problems.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
