Rockslide cleared on US Highway 24 near Minturn

U.S. Highway 24 near Minturn has been reopened after workers cleared a rockslide that brought down more than 150 tons of rock onto the roadway early Tuesday.

The rockslide occurred about halfway between Minturn and Redcliff and caused significant damage, punching holes in the highway.

According to the Vail Daily, a 20-year-old woman suffered minor injuries when she drove into one of those holes.

The unidentified woman was treated and released at Vail Valley Medical Center.
