Inmate dies at Fremont County Detention Center

An inmate died at the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center on Sunday, April 20, 2014.

The sheriff’s office says the unidentified 53-year-old man passed away in his cell.

The death was discovered at 5:25 p.m. during a scheduled cell check.

The man was housed in a single cell with no other inmate contact.

The cause of his death is under investigation.
