Decision on funding for pothole repairs expected in late April

The city of Colorado Springs says a decision on whether to free up $2 million for pothole repairs could come on April 22, 2014.

Mayor Steve Bach originally asked city council to make the money available on an emergency basis.

The city says that Bach withdrew his request for the emergency funding at the request of City Council President Keith King, who recommended the request go through a regular but accelerated process.

City council will vote twice on the funding. The first vote will come on April 8 and the second vote will come on April 22.
