Aurora kidnapping suspect pleads not guilty

A parolee accused of trying to kidnap an 8-year-old Aurora girl from her bedroom has pleaded not guilty.

Twenty-seven-year-old John Snorsky entered the plea during a hearing in Adams County District Court in Brighton on Wednesday. The Denver Post reported that he glanced at the victim’s family in the court’s front row as he walked into the court room.

He’s been charged with six felony counts, including second-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary and enticement of a child.

Prosecutors say Snorsky grabbed the girl from her bedroom window on Oct. 28, but she managed to escape when she pinched him and screamed. The girl’s parents awoke to her screams and found her missing from her room.

Her father ran outside, where he saw the girl running toward him from an alley.
