Pueblo police seek stabbing suspect tied to grocery store attack

Pueblo police are asking for help tracking down a homicide suspect.

On Wednesday they identified the suspect in the grocery store attack that killed Michael Flavin, 48.

Vincent Ballejos, 28, is a Pueblo resident, according to police. He’s 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 225 pounds.

He was believed to be in a blue or gray car seen leaving the scene of the crime Jan. 20.

Police said they received several tips that helped them identify Ballejos.

“We put out a lot of information about the vehicle at first and then it kind of led us down the path of identifying a person, which we did,” said Sgt. Eric Gonzales, with the Pueblo Police Department.

If you have information about where Ballejos has been in the past two weeks call the Pueblo Police Department at (719) 553-2502. You can also contact Pueblo Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous and potentially earn a cash reward at (719) 542-7867.
