Former home of early Colorado governors for sale

The one-time home of early Colorado governors James Orman and Alva Adams is for sale in Pueblo.

According to the Pueblo Chieftain, the mansion features more than 20 rooms of classic Victorian architecture, including eight bedrooms and five bathrooms.

Orman served as Colorado’s 12th governor in Denver from 1901 to 1903. He and his wife lived at their Pueblo house until 1918 when they sold it to Adams.

Adams served as governor three separate times in 1887-1889, 1897-1899 and 1905. After his death in 1922, the house was sold to the local school district.
