Man critically injured in apparent bar disturbance

An unidentified man arrived at Memorial Hospital by ambulance shortly after a reported disturbance at a sports bar, Colorado Springs police said Saturday.

Police said they responded to a call shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday at the Gee Cues Sports Bar near Academy Boulevard and East San Miguel Street. Not long after that, the victim arrived at the hospital and was listed in critical condition, police said.

“At this point, it is very early in the investigation and we’re trying to figure out if the injuries were caused from the disturbance or if there something is else going,” said police Lt. Catherine Buckley.

Police sealed off the area around the bar and interviewed several witnesses at the scene. They said they have no suspect and few details as they continue their investigation. They also interviewed several witnesses at the scene.
