Pueblo man assaulted in parking lot dies

A Pueblo man who was assaulted in the parking lot of a Safeway in Pueblo has died, police said. Now police are calling the incident a homicide.

46-year-old Michael Flavin was found injured in the parking lot outside of the Safeway on 29th Street in Pueblo on January 20.

Flavin was in critical condition until he died Thursday from his injuries, police said.

Pueblo Police are searching for a blue or grey station wagon that was near the incident. Police said the vehicle left the parking lot and turned left on Elizabeth Street.
