Mission to save 10-year-old battling cancer

A school is on a mission to save a 10-year-old battling cancer.

Aden Knar is a third grader at Falcon Virtual Academy. He beat cancer once, but it came back. The only way to fight it now is a bone marrow transplant.

Aden’s school organized a donation Thursday afternoon (1/23/14). More than 250 people showed up, volunteering to be Aden’s last hope.

“Out of my league almost, just thinking about it. All these people are here to help and one of these people might actually be the match that will save my brother’s life,” said Aden’s sister Alea Knar.

Aden’s doctors gave him two months to find a bone marrow match. If you’d like to help, here is a list of other donation events:

UCCS – University Center Room; 1/27/14; 116; 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Pikes Peak College – Centennial Campus – 2/10/14; 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Pikes Peak College – Rampart Campus – 2/12/14; 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. UCCS – University Center Room; 2/17/14 & 2/18/14; 116; 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
