Man accused of asking high school student for sex, arranging to meet her

A man who thought he was meeting a high school student at a convenience store wound up in handcuffs instead.

Police received a call from Doherty High School at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. The school told officers that one of their students was receiving text messages from an adult asking for sex.

After interviewing the girl, officers posing as her arranged to meet the man at a nearby convenience store.

Kevin James Gaylor, 27, was arrested. He’s facing charges for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, attempted sexual exploitation of a child, obscenity and attempted sexual assault.
