Teen killed in Pueblo crash

A 17-year-old boy has died after rolling his pickup truck Saturday morning, according to Pueblo police.

Our news partners at the Pueblo Chieftain confirmed with the coroner’s office that Antonio Martinez died in the crash.

Police said they are investigating drunk driving as the cause of the accident.

Investigators said the truck was found on it’s top in an embankment off of the eastbound Highway 50 bypass between Norwood and Troy Avenues.

Investigators said the teen’s body was found outside the truck and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

An autopsy is scheduled Saturday afternoon. The name of the teen has not yet been released.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, but they said speed and alcohol are thought to be factors.
