Man says school shooter was seen looking up guns

A man who says he was a security guard at a Colorado high school where a student fatally shot another student claims the shooter had been seen looking up guns on a computer in the school lunchroom.

Cameron Rust told KUSA-TV on Friday that he reported the incident to his supervisor but was told nothing could be done because the student was using his personal computer.

School officials didn’t respond to a phone message from The Associated Press.

Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson says investigators have interviewed Rust and plan to speak to him again. Robinson didn’t address the specifics of Rust’s claims.

Authorities say Karl Pierson fatally shot Claire Davis at Arapahoe High School in suburban Denver on Dec. 13, and Pierson then committed suicide. Davis died Dec. 21.
