Firefighters rescue dog stuck in Colorado culvert

Flash the Border Collie has firefighters to thank for getting him out of a tight spot Friday morning (1/10/14).

Firefighters with Mountain View Fire Rescued, based in Longmont, used a circular saw to free Flash who was stuck deep inside a culvert.

Flash’s owner had a hunch the dog was in the culvert when he couldn’t find him Friday morning. He went to check and found the dog got stuck about eight feet inside.

Flash was freed from the culvert around 11 a.m. and taken to a nearby vet to be checked out.
