Colorado Rockies co-owner pleads guilty to DUI

Colorado Rockies co-owner Charlie Monfort has pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol.

The Tribune reported that Monfort entered the plea on Friday in his hometown of Greeley and was sentenced to two years of probation.

Monfort was arrested on Nov. 5 after police say he was pulled over and found to be driving with a breath alcohol concentration level more than three times the legal limit.

He was also sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to driving while ability impaired following a 1999 arrest in Greeley. Police said he had a blood-alcohol level more than two times the legal limit at the time.

Outside court on Friday, Monfort said he was deeply sorry for his actions and that every day is a battle in dealing with alcohol abuse.
