Denver gets executive marijuana director

Denver has a new executive director of marijuana policy.

Mayor Michael Hancock on Friday announced the appointment of Ashley Kilroy to the new post.

Kilroy’s job will be to recommend, administer and implement medical and retail marijuana policies for the city.

She will also oversee and coordinate all marijuana-related activities of various city agencies, employees, boards and commissions.
