Springs police search for sex assault suspect

Colorado Springs Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman over the weekend.

The attack was reported at 1:22 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2013. It happened in the area of N. Nevada Avenue and E. Uintah Street.

Colorado Springs Police released the following description of the attacker in a news release:

The suspect has been described as a white male in his 20s, 5’9″ to 6′ tall, medium build with short dark hair. The suspect was wearing a short sleeve white t-shirt, loose fitting dark blue jeans, a belt and older dark colored tennis shoes with white markings on them. It should be noted the suspect smelled of cigarette smoke and alcohol.
