Ice Dam Breaks, Evacuations in Golden

Police and City officials in Golden are ordering evacuations at an RV park in Golden, after an ice dam broke near Idaho Springs.

According to KMGH, residents in a group of condos are being warned to prepare to evacuate as well.

The broken ice dam has released a 4 or 5-foot wall of water.

So far the flow has remained within the banks of Clear Creek.

Debris and ice are being carried in the water, which is at flood-stage levels.
