Girl believed to be on LSD accused of hitting officer

Police say a girl may have been high on drugs Monday morning when she allegedly broke into a home and then hit a police officer who tried to arrest her.

The incident happened in the 800 block of S. Cedar Drive, which is near Fountain Boulevard and Hancock Expressway.

Police say the underage girl, whose name and age were not released, broke into the home at 1:17 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2013.

Police say the girl fought with officers when they tried to arrest her, hitting one of them in the face.

Officers were eventually able to get her in handcuffs. She was taken to Memorial Hospital and will be booked into the Spring Creek Youth Services Center when doctors say she can leave the hospital.
