Man accused of threatening panhandlers with gun

Police say a man is facing charges and had his concealed carry permit taken away after he allegedly threatened a group of panhandlers with a gun.

The incident happened on Wednesday (11/13/13) at around 3:20 p.m. near Colorado Avenue and 32nd Street.

Police say it started when Michael Dabroski, 45, drove by and yelled threats at the panhandlers because he didn’t approve of what they were doing.

Officers say Dabroski then went shopping at a nearby grocery store and that as he was leaving he began yelling at the panhandlers. Police say that this is when Dabroski pulled out a gun. The panhandlers told officers that they felt Dabroski was threatening them with it.

Officers say they found Dabroski at his home on W. Kiowa Street. Police say Dabroski had a Sig Sauer 40 caliber handgun and that he was drunk.

Dabroski’s concealed carry permit was seized and he was arrested for felony menacing and weapons violations.
