Springs police confirm 27th homicide of 2013

Colorado Springs Police say a man who was found dead in a parking lot near Austin Bluffs and Academy Sunday was stabbed.

The body of Carlos Eduardo Zuasnabar, 25, was found in the parking lot near Vanguard Church at 5:10 a.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2013.

Investigators have not identified any persons of interest or suspects in the case, nor have they listed a motive.

Zuasnabar’s death marks the 27th homicide in Colorado Springs in 2013. Springs police had recorded 19 homicides at this time last year. 22 homicides were recorded in the city for all of 2012.
