Aurora man charged in 3-month-old son’s death

A 22-year-old Aurora man accused of causing the death of his 3-month-old son has been charged.

The Adams County District Attorney’s Office says prosecutors have charged Martin Fernando Holguin Jr. with one count of child abuse resulting in death after Aurora police who were called to a home Sept. 16 found the man’s son, Aiden Martin Holguin, unresponsive.

The Denver Post reports the boy was taken to a hospital with a skull fracture and severe head trauma.

Holguin, who is being held on $100,000 bail, is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 10.
