Woman arrested, suspected of starting fire in basement of home

Colorado Springs police have arrested a woman suspected of starting a fire in the basement of a home.

Caja Gray faces charges of domestic violence related Arson, Burglary and Assault.

The fire was started Saturday night at a home in the 900 block of W. Cucharras St.

Police say Gray went to the home of her ex and tried to break in. When she couldn’t get in, she assaulted her ex. Police say Gray started the fire when her ex ran away.

Responding officers used a water hose on the fire until the fire department arrived to put the fire out.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured.
