Police ask for help finding locket holding ashes

A woman who lost her necklace inside the Wal-Mart store on East Platte Avenue is desperate to find it.

She asked police to get involved because the necklace isn’t just a piece of jewelry.

The silver and heart-shaped locket holds the ashes of a loved one.

The woman lost the necklace 30 minutes after walking into the store around 11 a.m. Saturday.

The pendant has the inscription “Dayton” on one side and paw prints on the other.
