2 suspected of stealing 19 guns from pawn shop

Authorities say two people broke into a Denver-area pawn shop and stole 19 guns and sold many of them on the street for about $50 each.

KMGH-TV reports Tuesday that the Denver Police Swat unit raided a home on July 19 and arrested two suspects in the thefts. One of them is a 16-year-old and another is 30-year-old Jorge Orozco of Denver. He’s due in court Sept. 5 and faces several weapons and drug charges.

Authorities accuse the pair of breaking into a pawn shop through a ceiling vent on July 4. A court document alleges they stole two rifles and 17 handguns.

The television station says authorities are not providing details about the juvenile suspect’s case.
