Colorado State Fair open in Pueblo through Sept. 2

The Colorado State Fair is up and running with a new emphasis on locally grown and produced products.

Officials unveiled a “Colorado Proud” store at the fair in Pueblo Friday. Visitors can shop there for food and agricultural products that are grown, raised or processed in Colorado.

Not everything at the fair is new. Friday night marked the return of an annual political tradition, the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce barbecue. Many politicians were there.

The fair runs through Sept. 2.
