Woman, son stabbed on greenbelt trail near Denver

Police are looking for a man who stabbed a woman and her son as they were walking on a greenbelt trail in suburban Denver.

The stabbing happened Thursday morning in Wheat Ridge.

The woman told police that they were walking along the Clear Creek trail when a man jumped out of the bushes, chased them and stabbed them with a knife.

The wounds weren’t life-threatening.
