Accused theater shooter leaves Pueblo

Accused Aurora theater shooter James Holmesis no longer a patient at Mental Health Institute at Pueblo, according to our partners at The Pueblo Chieftain.

Sources tell Chieftain reporter Nick Bonham that Holmes was transported from the facility during the night last weekend back to Arapahoe County.

Holmes is accused of killing 12 and wounding 70 in a packed theater in July 2012.

Holmes entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity and was undergoing evaluation at the state facility in Pueblo. Read more in Wednesday’s edition of The Pueblo Chieftain.
