Cat found at hoarder’s: missing since April

An animal lover is a happy man after he found his cat that’s been missing since April. Turns out, the cat ended up at a Colorado Springs house that was hoarding 50 cats. And the story gets better.

Brian Schoeler just moved into his house on Narrows Road in Manitou Springs two weeks ago, when the flood hit on Friday. The floodwaters ruined everything inside. His dog got stuck in the mud and rescuers pulled him out.

When Schoeler went to pick him up from the humane society, he came home with two pets.

“It’s all that matters. Stuff is stuff, but my animals are my life. So I’m very happy to have them back and I’m really glad to show him a normal home again,” said Brian Schoeler.

The cats were in a condemned mobile home in Colorado Springs. They were rescued by the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region last month.

The cats are available for adoption. Contact the Humane Society at (719) 473-1741 for more information.
