Presidential commission on voting meets in Denver

A presidential commission dedicated to fixing voting problems is set to meet in Denver.

The Presidential Commission on Election Administration will convene at the Colorado History Museum Thursday for the day-long event. It will hear testimony and take public comment from election officials and citizens.

President Barack Obama formed the bipartisan commission to improve the electoral process after voters faced long lines and other obstacles in last year’s elections.

The commission held its first hearing last month in Miami. Two more hearings will be held, in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

The commission will eventually present recommendations to improve voting.
