Pueblo motorcycle accident leaves man with serious injuries

Police believe speed was a factor in a motorcycle accident in Pueblo that left one man with serious injuries.

Pueblo police said 27-year-old Joseph Bonetta was heading southwest on Lincoln Avenue crossing Orman Avenue late Friday night.

A 71-year-old woman tried to cross Lincoln Avenue after stopping for a flashing red light. That is when Bonetta struck the vehicle, police said.

Bonetta was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash, police said. However, Bonetta was not wearing a helmet.

An investigation is ongoing.
