Vehicle crashes into Colorado Springs motel

A woman faces charges after crashing her Jeep into a Colorado Springs motel.

Summer Haugeto, 31, is charged with driving under the influence. Police said she crashed into the building and suffered injuries in the accident.

Police said while an officer was conducting an unrelated traffic stop near the Days Inn motel, he saw the vehicle run into the office area of the building.

The Jeep was being driven recklessly in the parking lot earlier, police said. It first hit a trailer, then a motorcycle on that trailer. The vehicle continued, eventually running into the building.

The Days Inn suffered extensive damage to the office area.

There were no other injuries.
