Woman accused of targeting pedophiles sentenced

A woman accused of conspiring with her boyfriend to rob pedophiles has been sentenced to four years of supervised probation, plus 120 hours of useful public service.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports Sareena Morrison also was sentenced Tuesday in Fort Collins to mental health treatment.

Morrison pleaded guilty in May to attempt to commit extortion.

Investigators say she and Dustin Canup, of Loveland, would post messages online targeting men who agreed to bring a child to a motel for sex acts. The couple allegedly told investigators their plan was to rob or extort money from men who responded and to raise the child as their own.

Canup also pleaded guilty to attempted extortion and is set for sentencing Aug. 13.
