Pueblo hit-and-run suspect turns self in

Police say the driver who left an accident that seriously injured a teenager turned himself in less than 24 hours later.

The accident happened on the Highway 50 Bypass around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police say that Able Guerin, 64, turned himself in on Sunday.

Guerin was not injured in the crash. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of an existing medical condition.

Eva Baca, 17, suffered serious injuries in Saturday night’s accident. No update on her condition was available Monday.

Investigators have referred the case to the District Attorney’s Office for possible charges.
