Pueblo man wanted for throwing woman out of moving car

Pueblo police are searching for a man who threw a woman out of a moving car early Sunday morning. Police believe the suspect also stabbed another man in a separate incident.

Investigators said Roy Gonzales, 23, asked his girlfriend to get in his car to talk. When she did he sped away and started assaulting her. Police said at one point he threw her out of the car while it was moving, then forced her back into the car and continued to assault her. Officials said she was able to escape near 4th Street and Abriendo Avenue and walked to the hospital for help.

While police were interviewing the victim, a 23-year-old man came into the emergency room who was also a victim of Gonzales.

Officials said Gonzales is also wanted for two felony warrants. He is now wanted on kidnapping, 1st-degree assault and domestic violence for the incident with his girlfriend. The stabbing is still under investigation.

If you have any information, you are asked to call Pueblo police at (719) 553-2502 or Crime Stoppers at (719) 542-STOP.
