Two arrested in city’s 16th homicide

Colorado Springs police arrested two people Thursday night in connection with the city’s 16th homicide of the year.

Police arrested Otto Joseph Pobanz III at the Austin Park Apartments near Academy and Austin Bluffs. He was taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree murder.

A 16-year-old is also facing first-degree murder charges. The teen was arrested in the 3900 block of Harmony Drive. His name has not been released.

On Monday, a body was found in a field behind the Walgreen’s near Academy Boulevard and Chelton Road. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old William Walsh. Police say he was shot.
