Police looking for Dylan Redwine testing items

La Plata County investigators looking for a boy last seen by his parents in November are testing items found during a five-day search to see if there’s a connection.

La Plata County sheriff’s spokesman Dan Bender said in a statement Wednesday that further investigation, interviews and laboratory testing will determine if any of the items are related to the disappearance of Dylan Redwine.

According to the Durango Herald, about 45 officers spent five days searching a 12-mile stretch of Middle Mountain Road looking for clues into the boy’s disappearance.

Dylan lived with his mother in the Monument area, but he went to southwest Colorado for a court-ordered visit with his father. The father says Dylan was gone when he came home from running errands Nov. 19.
