Report of shots fired at Colorado Springs office building apparently unfounded

Police have given the all clear after a report of shots fired at the Penrose Pavilion office building on Thursday evening.

Multiple viewers have told KRDO NewsChannel 13 that the hospital was placed on lockdown. Hospital officials have not confirmed that.

KRDO NewsChannel 13’s Heather Skold reports officers searched all four floors of the building and that Nevada Avenue was closed during the investigation.

We’ve learned businesses inside the building include Rocky Mountain Cancer Center, Penrose Mammography, and Neurological Associates.

The first call for help came in at 5:48 p.m. Thursday.
